Value Based Healthcare vs Fee for Service in Under One Minute

What's the difference between Fee-For-Service and Value Based Care? In this one minute video Gail explains FFS vs VBC using her analogy of the broken sidewalk. With FFS (fee for service), when you trip on a broken sidewalk, you get a "fee for sickness" - bills for each service the hospital gives to fix what you injured. In VBC, the hospital is financially incentivized to fix the sidewalk and keep you healthy at home. Health equity says that every single neighborhood deserves a safe sidewalk.
